    Look what followed me home....

    I found a Hawken at a semi local gun shop. It's an old Ithaca / Navy Arms Hawken in 50 cal. Everything is in great shape. I you find the set trigger takes a bit of pulling to set it. I've opened her up and everything looks good in the trigger assy and lock.

    Pedersoli Hawkens...

    I have a question about the Pedersoli Hawkins variants. I see they offer a Missouri River, Rocky Mtn., Target, and a Hunter. The last two being about the half price as the first two. What's the difference? Besides the calibers the are offered.

    New Traditions Kentucky rifle…problem!

    I just got the chance to shoot my new rifle. Fired 4 shots, 45 gr to 60 gr.. Now I have a broken gun. Big ole crack! Calling Traditions on Monday.

    I"m new here and to muzzleloading. Been a gun guy all my life. Always wanted a black powder gun just never purchased one, until a few weeks ago. Maybe time to sell a few modern guns to finance another blackpowder gun!
