    Ordering cannon fuse

Sure a person could enlarge the vent hole. But this might not be a good course of action, as it will vent more with a model. Vent hole size vs bore size. I remember buying a stock load of 2mm fuse at amazon with free shipping in the year 2020. And good stuff. Things have changed, Biden has...

Sourcing a pistol double set trigger

A trigger is not very big. Before I had access to a lathe or milling machine, which would make me younger then a teen. Would use some files to shape the trigger out of tool steel (no bending) and a drill press for holes. Had no way to out source, so if I wanted it bad enough, it would be home...

Penny For Your Thoughts? Pawn Shop Find.

A penny for my thoughts? Are you kidding me. While there was a day when my thoughts weren't even worth 2 cents, We are living now under Bidenomics . And with the inflation, even I can get 3 cents any day of the week. But I think you have your answer now anyway.

My three quarter scale Revolutionary War carriage.

Sometimes it is very hard to put a price on your craftsmanship. In trying to make some items myself I understand the blood and sweat that goes into a project, especially the first set of spoke wagon wheels. And it would be nice to leave some of your work behind so your child can say my Dad made...

    Pietta 1863 Pocket Remington issues

I agree with your findings. Since you have made sure the hammer is making contact with the nipple by backing a couple out, that does not leave much left other than the hammer force. Which is controlled by the spring. You might find you can feel the difference between the smaller and full size.

    Swivel gun stand?

This style cannon just does not seem safe for heavy loading. It can be a lot of fun, but be careful with that cannon. Maybe a tripod stand with enough spread? An old wood survey stand might be worth looking at.

    1860 arbor removed

I am sorry, but the arbor is very important to be strong and perfectly straight.

    1860 arbor removed

There is only one true way to correct at this point as I see. The frame needs to be put in a milling machine. The threaded hole needs to be indicated round and plum. and then a new recessed shoulder established for a new arbor that will have a precision spacer to contact the shoulder on the...

    1860 arbor removed

New to me also, need picture of frame. Present arbor could be used as template for making new one, or the trash can.

    muzzle loaders...........

Well we are still light for a Army yet, but I can add to the line up a couple cannons. Actually that is a good size herd to keep clean and take care of, you are lucky. And get to work on that kit.
