    TC Hawken hammer ?

    The hammer on mine is not aligned correctly with the nipple. It is too far to the left. There is what looks like carbon build up in the cap hole that hits the cap or is the hole made that way ? This rifle has only been fired about 200 times.

    front sight height ?

    I have a TC Hawken 50 cal rifle. I installed a TC peep sight on it with a Marble orange front sight that is .475 height. My peep sight is adjusted almost all the way up to get a zero at 50 yds. Do I need a higher or lower front sight to be able to have more elevation adjustment on the peep sight ?

    SPG lube not sticking to bullets

    I used the double boiler method, water in bottom pan and lube in the top pan. I arranged the bullets in a pie plate and when lube was melted I poured in it in the pie pan with the bullets and allowed it to harden.     sight height

    Can anyone tell me the sight height on a TC Hawken front sight measured from the bottom of the dovetail to the top of the sight ? I want to order a new glo or fluorescent front sight. My eyes are as good as they used to be to see the front sight.

    help with hearing problem

    I wear hearing aids and when I am shooting I have to take them out and put muffs on which is kind of a pain because without them I cannot hear anyone talking or range commands. If I leave the hearing aids in the noise from shooting is too loud. What do others with hearing aids do ?

    Is it necessary to fill the lube grooves or just get the bullet wet with lube ? A friend of mine puts his in a tupper wear container just puts the bullets in with bore butter and shakes them up. It seems to me they do not get sufficient lube doing it this way.

    I have a hard time getting Bore Butter in the lube grooves. It seemed to melt very quickly. Is it necessary to fill the groves or just get the bullet wet ?

    aligning hammer and nipple on a hawken

    The hammer needs to be moved to the right to be centered on the nipple. Can a small washer be placed under the hammer to move it away from the lock to be centered on the nipple ? I do remember quite a while ago a guy sold nylon washers to correct this problem but I can't locate him.
