    Flintlock Scope?

Oh, okay, so just take any similar ground level gun, like any gun from traditions, CVA, etc. They'll all fit this scope, their aren't many of them, only the Kentucky, the Hawken, the Crockett, pretty well every rifle on those sites that isn't modern. Pick one. Yeah pick any one of all of those...

Looking for a compact long range small caliber blackpowder pistol for critters

I'm with necchi. You want small, compact, and accurate out of black powder, the best bet is a revolver. There's the 1851, which is shockingly accurate, there the 1860, which is probably the second favorite and second most common of black powder. There's one pistol called "The Ace" that's more...

    Flintlock Scope?

Get a Malcom scope. Anything else will look too out of place.

    Fortifying a Traditions Kentucky pistol

I've shot those out of my kentucky. Old guns seem to hate pyrodex and sabots however, so I shot with straight powder and a wad.

    I want a .......

I want a Hawken kit and a Kentucky rifle kit. Use the sights on the Hawken, and get a period accurate Malcom scope for the Kentucky, and have a heavy 1800s sniper and a good steel banger. They're just great lookin' guns, and I need projects to swear at for a few days.

Totally new to all of this

Make sure the barrel is well oiled before you fire it. If you'd like to get rid of that rust, rebluing is pretty easy and dirt cheap, and most bottles of bluing fluid come with some pretty clear instructions. I'd say take some steel wool to that brass, and it's good as new.

Not liking my rust bluing turn out. Suggestion on alternative?

I would steel wool and clean the parts if recoating, bluing is crazy anal with contaminates. You might be able to reblue over it, but clean it and dry it like crazy. I've only used one brand for bluing, can't remember the name, but I don't see why this product wouldn't work. Brownell's seems...

Custom 1851 Navy and Kentucky Pistol

I went over with a pencil first to make sure they were even on each side. The parts that didn't have to match I did freehand.

Custom 1851 Navy and Kentucky Pistol

A bit of a different look, but not abandoning the western style. The stock and grip on each pistol was etched with a woodburner, before being blackened with a butane torch. I filled in the burnt wood and gave it a high gloss finish with multiple coats of poly. The single shot Kentucky was custom...

    CLOSED WTB 50CAL PISTOL

Zoomed in. Damage is the matte spot in the middle. It was scuffed in the finishing process and had to be rescorched.

    CLOSED WTB 50CAL PISTOL

I'd only give it up for $350, but this is my custom pistol. The stock has Woodburnt etching and stippling, and was gone over with a blowtorch until black. Then it was given many coats of poly (Which filled in the burnt wood) until it had a nice gloss. There is one injury, a spot on the side is...

    Flintlock Scope?

There are vintage scopes specifically made for 1800s black powder guns, and they are very period accurate reproductions. They are fitted to the gun using the Dovetails on the barrel, and are very long and thin (About the length of the barrel). They also not only look period accurate, but are...
