Brown Bess? Is this what I think it is?

Terrific thread for this new comer, thank you all. I have shortcomings aplenty, but thanks be to the Lord controlling explosions with unknown rifles is not one of them. A moment of gratification does not come close to a lifetime of regret.

    Howdy from Florida

400 yd, in house range. I'd never leave home. I must drive 1 1/2 hrs for a decent range, no kidding. I'm knee deep in knee jerk liberalism where I'm at. However once I go a little further north I'm home or at ease with my hobbies. I came to Florida for the Mrs. and bought in a...

    What did you do today

Went to a small gathering of seniors and had a decent time. Then sun stroke, sun something or other made me feel sick. I went into the clubhouse so my wife could carry on. When I was all alone in the clubhouse I settled into a nice armchair and did a little praying for all my lost buddies...

I thank you all for the advice. I am tooling up as they say. I'm going to buy a bandsaw soon. I did buy a curly maple plank? board? future stock? from the selling board. I'm waiting on the Kibler but am going to build the next one from scratch. Of all the interesting books I've bought...

Shoot my .36 Revolver in the basement?

Crazy idea? Yes! If I could not find time to go to a range I would never fire a gun unless under duress.
