SOLD Pietta Starr Double action 44 revolver 575.00 shipped

I am not sure how to pm someone on here. Can you send me a pm or email me at [email protected] to exchange information? I’d like to talk on the phone to ensure we are both real people before I send the payment for the Starr. Thanks. I’m Mark by the way.

SOLD Pietta Starr Double action 44 revolver 575.00 shipped

I’m thinking that the reason it is not functioning in single action is because the “Trigger” is only a “decocker” on the Starr Revolver. The sear mechanism in the back is actually what functions as the trigger. In double action the little slide mechanism depresses that sear to make it fire.

Purchased An Item, It Arrived Broken. Seller Holding Back Repayment!

Bill Thompson of Hammered Leatherworkz make a custom gunbelt for me that was too small to buckle I waited 6 months to get it. I returned it and a year later he still has not issued a refund for the $328.00 nor my rig. And will not answer phone calls or messages. He is a real Jerk!

    Clay Smith Trade Gun Build

One way to strip a stock without sanding is to use krudcutter degreaser. It pulls out everything down to bare wood. Even old oil, stain and varnish. I use a scouring pad an rinse with hot water. Works great!

    Making Percussion Caps

The copper looks better but is much softer and more expensive. Using brass I can actually reuse the hulls a few times if I want to be frugal.

    Help identifying 1863 springfield marking

Maybe it was done to help distinguish it from other muskets for owner identification if the unit stacked their rifles in camp

    Original 1863 Springfield Musket

Is there any way to research the background of an original civil war era 1863 Springfield Musket? Serial number on the bayonet is 441.

1851 Colt Navy with Ivory grips

These were harvested from an elephant in the early 1970’s, when it was legal. Elephants are still harvested to this day up to two per year to control the population, and keep them from starving. This revolver was sold as having bone grips but I discovered through testing that they were not bone...

1851 Colt Navy with Ivory grips

No, it is an Uberti. Real Colt’s usually have silver plated trigger guards and backstrap I think. At least my Colts do.

WANTED Starr Revolver, Rogers & Spencer,

I like the double action for it’s unique mechanics but doubt I’d ever shoot it. I just want to put one in my collection. I know the single action is a better design.
