    SOLD ASM Remington revolver .44

Wow, I just got a used one locally, defarbed etc. It was marked Lyman but most assuredly an ASM. I have no complaints about it but this one is awesome. Someone should get this. I like the 'adjustable' front sight.

Traditions 1858 Army Revolver - Nipples no longer fitting in cylinder

The rubber tubing trick makes a lot of sense and does work. A 'reverse' twist works to 'seat' the thread contact before screwing in ANY screw. A quarter inch 3/16 ths socket can be modded to fit the nipples. Or buy the nipple wrench from Slixsprings.

What Muzzleloading Stuff Did You Do Today?

I bought a used Lyman 1858 remmy, got it home and found it had a loose front sight. I could slide the sight in and out of the dovetail easily. BUT, thanks to the "socket fix", I was able to tighten it up and save the hassle of trying to track down a replacement. Thanks for the awesome advice...

    Yes or No on tacks

Bling, bling, bling makes the gun go off! Different version of the 'blanket gun'. And it is the earliest form of how to 'barbie' a gun. Sorry, I meant 'personalize'!

Cougar Dave Lewis, real person originally from Oregon. There is a book that details his 'exploits'. His is an interesting story.
