    Windex Cleans "right now"

“Plain, old-fashioned water”…. 😆 not none of that new, improved stuff! 😉 not making fun by any stretch. This just tickled me this morning. Have a good one!

Patch lube for round ball shooting..........Lawdy.

If that Crockett rifle is a .32 like mine, it’ll do you good to swab between shots. Just a tiny bit of fowling can make it really hard to get that little pill down that barrel.

    MUZZLE CONING TOOL

After dealing with Mr. Wood myself, I believe that if everyone was as good and honest as him, we wouldn’t need political parties. 😉

    Rear sight on a smoothbore

I can attest to his magic! He bored my 50 out and installed a 54cal sleeve. That rifle has NEVER shot better than now. It is amazing. Mr. Bobby said he believed it would be a shooter, commenting that he believed "re-sleeving one does something to the "harmonics" of the barrel." It must...

    Tennessee Valley Muzzleloading Fowler Kit

The "PC" crowd (as my grandmaw used to say) "makes my butt want to crochet bob*-wire"! *clarification for PC Crowd -"Barbed" Wire ;)

4 Famed Hunters and the Names of Their Guns

Very informative and well written article! One Texas Legend, “Big Foot” Wallace‘s rifle had a peculiar name (to me). He named it “Sweet Lips”. Even though this larger than life character in Texas History could be considered just a little on the “eccentric“ side, I still find that name choice...

They say "no good deed goes unpunished" and the trail cam proves it!

It’s always heartwarming to see the grizzled veteran offering his sacrifice to help another…..😆😉

    Home Made Percussion Caps Review

If these home made caps are igniting Pyrodex, real BP shouldn’t be any problem! AND , (my opinion only) with enough practice at making the caps for plinking, a person very well may get pretty consistent at making them ALL functional.

What do you hunt with your traditional muzzleloader?

SW Louisiana Make- circa 1853 10bore fowler, patched round ball. 50 yards. Game- Deer and Turkey Son - 20 bore flintlock fowler Game - Squirrel, Turkey, Deer

This is a GREAT way to do it!!!

When being introduced to flintlocks, the young ones just need to be taught and reassured not to be frightened by the flash and sparks. (Safety glasses are essential) That effort goes a long way in cementing their love for this type of shooting. They can’t love something they’re afraid will hurt...

Where have all the production guns gone?

Doubleset, I dropped my OWN NRA membership this past year after they canceled their Convention in Houston TX because of COVID fears. 😡

    Main charge question

Good idea! With the cost of powder now, there’s no need to waste it!

    Bobby Hoyt barrel work

I just got my barrel back from him and WOW! It was a 50 cal Dixie mountain rifle that I built when I was 17 years old. He bored it and inserted a 54 cal sleeve in it. My cost was $125 + $26 shipping. I couldn’t be happier with it. Not broken in yet and it shoots fantastic to me.

    Finished pictures of Kibler kit...

I THOUGHT I was happy with my fowler build, until I saw THIS. I’m gonna go and sit outside with the OTHER kids.......😉 Seriously, this is an absolute classy build. Well done.
