FOR SALE Navy Arms 12 gauge sxs

Yes! It also assumes that the actual bore is .729, which is not always the case. The old Pedersolis were roughly .710, and a lot of modern target guns are overbored closer to .740.

    Pedersoli 10ga. barrel gap.

It is very fixable. A new key, or even a flip is likely to do it, although you may well have to file the key a bit, but not too much. It's not the same kind of issue that it would be on a break open action.

Do's and Don'ts when buying first BP shotgun

I shoot real back powder, and 1075's work just great. The 1075 plus will certainly work. Last year I installed musket cap nipple on the SxS that I use for target shooting (Sporting clays and skeet), and used musket caps, as I couldn't find 11's or 1075's anywhere. They set off the charges...

New to me Pedersoli 12 guage

A new set of Pedersoli barrels is likely to run around 70% of the price of the whole gun. Not worth it, unless you come across a used set. (Don't ask me how I know.)

New to me Pedersoli 12 guage

I have a Pedersoli 20 gauge cylinder/modified that I shoot quite a lot at skeet and sporting clays targets. Mine likes 19 gauge overshot cards better than 20 gauge. With 20 gauge cards the second barrel load tends to move some when shooting the first barrel. Choke constriction for 20 gauge is...

Something Fishy going on with Pedersoli "Old English" model

Richard Beauchamp is great, but he has been in ill health for several years. I don't know if he is still alive, but the website is gone.

New to me Pedersoli 12 guage

Lot of good information from Sparkitoff. I am all but certain that is a 1970's production model because it has a though bolt at the front of the locks, and breech plugs. Those are delightful wingshooting guns. Probably just under 6 lbs (pretty light for waterfowl loads). I use 68-70 grains...

Something Fishy going on with Pedersoli "Old English" model

I've never seen an Old English SxS. However, I have owned a Pedersoli 12 gauge and a 20 gauge, both recent production as in 2006, 2007. Their catalogue listed the 12 at 7.05 pounds, and the 20 at 7.35 pounds. My 20 was about as close to 7.05 pounds as I could measure and the 12 was 7.4...

Any SxS trap shooters out there?

I shoot sporting clys and skeet with Pedersoli 1970's SxS, and also for bird hunting and bird dog training. Trap, I've had trouble with, it's pretty far out for low gun shooting. I've used winchester SL wads successfully, either pink or gray, the clay busters SL are cheaper and work the same...

    Pedersoli 12ga nipple sizes??

Pedersoli has been usin 1/4 28 nipples for quite a long time. But, 1970 is pretty fsr back, and I do have a Pedersoli 12 gauge SxS from roughly that period that uses the 6mm. I would use Ohio Rusty's technique, see above, to check out what fits, although I would bring the nipple and check it...

FOR SALE Navy Arms 12 gauge sxs

I am all but certain that this gun is a Pietta, not a Pedersoli. The lock plates are different.

Trying to identity a Davide Pedersoli

I don't believe that Pedersoli used model numbers, just names. There certainly are differences however, and the earlier production Doppietta were over a pound lighter than the current production (just under 6 pounds as opposed to about 7.25 lbs in 12 gauge). They were also shipped with various...

    Pedersoli Deluxe Shotguns

Those are some really nice guns. But in that kind of condition on this side of the Atlantic they would be north of $4000, likely well north.

    12 Gauge questions

Pedersoli importers were known to request certain specifications for guns from Pedersoli. At one point, Navy Arms had a lower stock than was standard 14 1/4 with 1 1/2 drop at comb and 2 1/2 drop at the heel (which is kind of the American standard. Dixie used to sell Pedersolis with better...
