    HELP IDENTIFY REMINGTON

I think the proper term is a "plunger." On this one, it looks like a 44 size plunger was turned down on a lathe to fit a 36 cylinder. If yours is a 44, the point is moot. Its definitely a feature I've never seen before.

    HELP IDENTIFY REMINGTON

This might be a winner! Numbering locations are similar, build looks similar... Thanks! Is yours a .36?? If so, is the rammer turned down to fit the cylinder like on this one?

Serial 853 on guard and grip frame, but 953 on bottom of barrel (obscured in photo bc rammer is not removable w/o removing...

Percussion caps and powders out of stock

I have read online about guys who have used plastic cap gun caps without any issues (except a tight fit). I am going to order some to try myself... I am anxious to see of they work considering they are like $3 per hundred, AND they come strung together which may even work as a capper of sorts...

    Thompson Center Hawken Barrel Rebore

I shoot .45 bullets in my .50 with a sabot, so I'm quite sure you could shoot .54 bullets out of your .45 if you get the right sabot. Try it. ... ... ... ... (yes, I am joking)
