FOR SALE For sale muzzleloader parts

Up for your consideration is a group of muzzleloader parts. Mostly sideplates but there is some other stuff mixed in. The breech plug does not fit the 1 inch wide barrel I have so I'm assuming it's 15/16. Most of the items came from track of the wolf. I'm asking $300 shipped to the 48 states. I...

Does anyone make a full round or swamped smoothbore fowler barrel with a flat on the top near the breech?

Looking for a barrel with a flat area at the top. Usually these are triangle shaped and have the gunsmiths name and city on them. Barrel diagrams from Rice and Colerain do not show this so i was wondering if anyone knows of a barrel profile that does. These only extend about 6 inches from the breech

Would you use an original gun barrel to build a new gun ?

I have not removed the breech plug yet. it looks like it could be removed but it will take quite a lot of effort. i am going to remove it and the nipple to get a better look at the breech before I proof test it

Would you use an original gun barrel to build a new gun ?

i did not see a ball. it looks like this is the breech as i can see the hole where the percussion cap vents into the barrel on the left. tried using a ball puller just in case and it was not able to grab anything. evaporust removed the rest of the rust from the breech

Unique left handed sporting/fowling gun from the F&I war era

I found this while looking for wilson locks. The gun was made in London and dates from around 1750. I learned that caywood guns sells a left and right hand copy of a Wilson lock as well so this would be a good gun to copy for a lefty looking for a period correct firearm. Probably not acceptable...

I have the original stock and furniture and the wood is in good shape but its breaking off in the fore end. Its missing the lock as well. The bore looks alright and the breach looks fairly rusty but im sure...

Anyone sell a smoothbore pistol barrel that is straight and not swamped or oct to round?

I've been wanting to build a simple English pistol like this but I can't seem to find anyone that sells a single straight round barrel. Anyone know of a barrel maker that sells one or did they all just use swamped barrels and my eyes are playing tricks on me?

How many barrel wedges are enough for a heavy halfstock barrel?

Thank you for the replies! I like the look of one wedge but I'll use two depending on how long the barrel channel is. The wedges i have now are slightly oversized than normal ones so they should be pretty sturdy

How many barrel wedges are enough for a heavy halfstock barrel?

I have a 8lb 1 1/8" barrel that is going on a halfstock to make an english sporting rifle or chunk gun. I initially was going to just have 1 wedge but should I have 2 or 3 to hold such a heavy barrel? The stock is going to be thick to help hold the barrel
