Is this a black powder Companion, or a metallic cartridge gun ? I ask because, while there are Limited Edition cartridge NAA Mini's, I've never heard of a limited edition ,22 cal Companion BP gun

Antique store find . Need help with id

IIRC, the "PV" is a Belgian proof mark (normally marked on the barrel), or the lock maker's mark (usually marked on the inside of the lock plate)

    Priming flask

IMO, it's pretty nice ! I think the scrim looks good, too - I'd leave it be If it were mine, I'd add a small staple to the end cap, to hang it from my shooting bag, for quick accessibility.

    Cloth shooting bag opinions

Besides my haversack, I also use this canvas bag with a rubberized lining and two interior pockets. I decorated the flap with an old patch I had hanging around because it matched the bag color

    Cloth shooting bag opinions

When hunting, I used a compartmentalized canvas haversack - in which I used one compartment for shooting stuff ( bullets, capper or priming tool, etc, etc) and the other compartment for the various things useful for hunting ( scents, game call, small multitool, compass, small flashlight, etc)...

    Newbie Needing Help With Identification

I've never seen an off-side lock plate like the one on that gun; but like the fancy-work on the RH lockplate tail.
