September 2023 Postal Match Target - Let's Go Bowling!

Keep doing it the way you are. They may be hard to hit for some of us sometimes, but it gives me motivation to shoot more. And when the scores come out, it's motivation to shoot better. I shoot by myself 99.9% of the time. This is fun and challenging in a good way.

September 2023 Postal Match Target - Let's Go Bowling!

I took a risk and tried for the big points off the get go...Didn't work out so well for me. I played it safe for the last few .32 Crockett(fun little plinker) Thanks again for doing this. May I suggest the broad side of a barn for a target at some point? I'm pretty good at hitting those:)

    August Postal Match

Well, I do not recommend shooting offhand with a rifle you haven't shot in well over a year...after a cup of strong coffee. But thanks to these monthly shoots, I'm making time to shoot more. 25yds (shakey)offhand .32 Crockett(Traditions) 30gr 3f schutzen .31rb over .10 wonderlube patch 25pts...

    July Postal Match

My July submission. Best one out of 3 attempts. 1st time shooting this with the new sights. Got it sighted in pretty good and then the buttstock came loose. Of course I forgot to bring a screwdriver to tighten it back up. 😒

    June Postal Match

I find that most of my guns are way more accurate if I'm not the one shooting them.

    June Postal Match

Managed to get out after a week of rain. Went with the pistol this time that I picked up off here from grizz44mag a couple weeks ago. Hopkins and Allen underhammer. 15yds off hand 30gr Schutzen 3f .430 RB .010 wonderlube patch. Took a bit to get used to her...and for the new gun jitters to wear...

Had a good time doing the woods walk. Nice friendly folks. Ruined my perfect score of zero on the last stop by actually hitting the target. 3 misfires...one on the 1st stop and 2 for the poker shoot. Good day none the less though. Thanks to all who put the work in to make it happen.

According to the weather channel...looks like high 20's to low 30's and partly cloudy. As long as the wind doesn't show up, I might stand a chance of hittin' something :)

Hoping to make it this year. Was all set to go last year and my rifle decided to not cooperate. Made sure to pick up a couple backups since then.

    Looking to learn in NY

I'm about ten minutes from there. Quiet most of the time but whenever anyone else is there, they're quite friendly. And the membership fees are cheap compared to some of the other clubs I've been a part of. If you end up joining, perhaps I'll see you up there. I'm sure my wife would love it...
