    Parker-Hale Volunteer: Rigby or Henry

I am considering the purchase of one of these and wonder if anyone can give any information, details, experiential data or otherwise anything at all about the benefits, accuracy, reasons for one over the other and so on. What are the physical differences? Many thanks.

    Ramrod tip hollow/depression

I wish to get a delrin rod to make a ramrod for my pistol and wonder about the best (easiest) way to make a hollow/depression in the end to seat on the ball. Or is it even necessary? I have very limited tools available. Many thanks.

    Loading plug

Just browsing an auction site and I came across this: https://auctions.holtsauctioneers.com/asp/fullcatalogue.asp?salelot=IA1220+++423+&refno=158636&image=4 It's a new one on me, but I'm hardly a jaeger rifle expert. Is this common? How was it used? It looks lethal!

    WANTED .350 round balls

In the UK I cannot find a source for Hornady or Speer .350 balls. Maybe it’s a Covid-related supply problem. Does anyone know where I might find any? Or cast me some? Or even a slightly larger size? Many thanks.

What a difference a ball makes

I took my new (to me) Pedersoli .44 Kuchenreuter to the range today to see how it would perform. I used two sizes of ball with a .010 patch. The upper group in the photo wass with a swaged .430 ball and the lower ‘group’ was with a .433 ball – which was considerably harder to load. Distance = 25...

    Good enough?

I tried shooting my Pedersoli Le Page .36 percussion cap pistol off a rest at the weekend, just to see how my load/ball/patch combination was doing. I used a .350 ball with 12 gr Swiss #2 and a .012 patch. Is this about as good as one could expect? The group is about 2 inches. My one-handed...

    Pedersoli chromed finish

I have a pistol like this: and would perhaps like it to be like this: Could anyone tell me how easy/difficult/impossible it would be to remove the chromed finish and brown the barrel? Would it be a physical removal with emery? Chemical? What browning is recommended? Birchwood Casey...

    Another Brit

I thought I’d better say “Hello” after already receiving some great assistance from some very helpful people. I live in Surrey in the south of England and shoot two Pedersoli percussion pistols – a Le Page in .36 and a Kuchenreuter in .44. I anticipate learning a lot and hopefully joining in the...

    Kuchenreuter trigger removal

Hello all. I wonder if any of you kind folk could tell me how to remove the trigger assembly from a Pedersoli Kuchenreuter pistol. Removing the lock and receiver is simple enough, but the trigger is baffling me. Many thanks in advance. Andrew
