What Muzzleloading Stuff Did You Do Today?

@pacanis, thank you, it was offhand. And a big thanks for catching the front sight orientation. A local shooting friend pointed out the rear sight installation, I had that one wrong as well. As stated, first kit assembly.

What Muzzleloading Stuff Did You Do Today?

Finally finished assembly of Lyman Great Plains pistol kit I bought last year from a forum member. 3 coats of Tru-Oil on stock and 5 coats of LMF barrel browning solution on metal. First time with a kit, kind of a fun process. Shoots pretty good at 25 feet. I need to get out to 50ft or so.

    Gettysburg

Bride and I are heading out on anniversary trip (40) heading to Gettysburg for a few days mid-end of April. Are there any good BP shops near Gettysburg or heading west from there (can re-route PA, VA, WV ) ? Info appreciated since we're really on no time schedule. Joe

    Help with ID please

I picked this up at auction because I wanted to add a smoothbore to collection. Told it was of English manufacture "C.Mills" As seen in pictures it is engraved "Mills" only. Plenty of proof marks on underside of barrel. Any and all information, guesses are welcome. Thank you, Joe

lefty shooting a right handed rifle

I really wish that Kibler would come out with a left hand kit. Have two left hand flintlocks and one caplock currently that I did not build. I would like one of my own build.
