    FWIW here's a shot of the ramrod. For all I know, back in 1947, the owner was on his way out the door to trade the musket at my dad's store, realized it didn't have a ramrod, and pulled one out of a nearby gun!

    Thanks Flinter. As pointed out somewhere in this tome, my dad took this gun in trade at his sporting goods store in 1947 and has sat with us ever since. I doubt the ramrod would be a repro as... was anyone actually making such a thing back then?

    Thanks Flinternick. The frizzen looks to be from another gun, but what's your take on the ram rod? Also off another weapon? Also, on mine, the bayonet lug is on the top. Is that a later modification or expected?

    Thanks hopping. By a shot inside the lock, do you mean removing the lock as in your pic above? Or just a shot of the lock with the frizzen forward? Yes, there is a very faint mark above "Charleville." Here's a pic.
