    Lock slipping

I'm pretty sure the stock is not the issue but I'll check it when I get home. This morning I removed the lock, brought it to half cock, pressed forward on the hammer and no issues. I then brought it to full cock, pressed forward on the hammer and it went off. So regardless of the stock its...

    The incredible shrinking BP counter

Ive always thought my ideas on hunting have been fairly ahead of my age. Im late 20's and I find hunting with traditional archery and flintlocks very challenging and rewarding. I started down this road when I got a compound bow and thought there must be a simpliar way. Thats how I got into...

    And So It Begins........

Now that I have the plug and and just setting the pieces together without any additional inletting I can see how it would cause a major problem. Very grateful guys thanks.

    And So It Begins........

There was a group at my gun club that used to have Black Powder matches but in the last couple years they have quite hosting them. I do need to look for a club or group. I do have The Art of Building the Pennsylvania Longrifle but some videos would be useful what do you recommend?

    And So It Begins........

That is part of my problem is that I dont know anyone in this area who builds rifles. This leaves me with no mentor to speak of so I feel like I'm wondering in the dark here. Ive been reading this morning on the forum all I plan to do today is pull the breach plug and mark the depth and read.
