    Shooting the 1842 Harpers Ferry

I have a Harpers Ferry 1842 made in 1845 and it looks great. I am not sure if it will be safe to shoot it with live loads though. I am jusy being a bit of a chicken about it.

    Great Work by Two Feathers

I had Two Feathers make me a knife and sheath and boy did they come out great! I have bought a few items from him and the workmanship and attention to detail have all been top notch. I would have no problem buying anything else from him, in fact I am thinking something up right now.

Crazy for wanting a percussion smooth bore?

I just bought a 1845 dated Harpers Ferry 1842 smoothbore. I was also able to find an original bayonet for it. Haven't been able to shoot it yet, but it is in very god shape.

Does anyone sell a Brown Bess bayonet for a 0.86" barrel?

I think Loyalist Arms might be able to help you. They would ask for some outside measurements of the barrel and they might have one that would fit.
