    GM IBS 40 cal owners

30 has been my standard load and is speedy. have shot 20 with no great loss of accuracy out to 70yds and shot 15gr last weekend on a trail walk hitting 2-3 inch targets out to 25yds.

    Confused about Powder Horns

Clubs and mst rondy's that I have participated at typically state in the ground rules " no direct loading from horn/flask to barrel" and the use of a seperate measure or holding device as a step between horn/flask and barrel is the rule. Its a safety/liability thing. Original post.... several...

    'nother casting question

Likewise with both of mine. one likes about 6 1/2 and the other is at 6 3/4ish. The scale is merely a reference. Your results out of the molds will dictate more or less heat!

    GM .40 cal RB Barrel

I shouldered a 38 and bought the 32 inch, put it on a hawken stock, never looked back, have yet to be disappointed and certainly one of the wisest firearm related purchases I have ever made! 38 inches of steel in a 40 bore is a lot of weight out front, shooting off hand.

    Hi there from The Netherlands!

I was hoping for Aruba, Bonaire or Curaco, but WELCOME just the same!

    Dovetail size??

If I recall, 3/8 inch is too large and mine is .360 (cva MT Rifle.) I seem to recall Dixie gun works detailing this in their catalog, hence the .360 I mentioned. I have seen several sights listed in catalogs as well with the same designation

    Alcohol in barrel?

yes it will! there is common, which has more H2O in it and a stronger version that is about 90% iso alc. both will do job, the weaker takes a tad longer to evaporate, but MY guns have had ZERO issues......EVER!
