    Flintlock cock jaws surface

    Do any of you folks know the name of the process for making small minute dimpling on the surface of the jaws on a flintlock? I think it is used for better grip on the leather. Also is there a special tool, and name of it. It gives me the feeling of tiny teeth as you rub across it.
