    Well I brought the rifle home today but it's still clean, I'm still waiting on my order from The Possible Shop, hopefully it will come in tomorrow if so I'll take it back to the range Sunday. This rifle is like brand new and the Hawken stamped barrel has a serial number in the 5XXX range.

    I was so busy today at work I forgot to call Mr. Hoyt and just read your post, I can't be sure that it has never been shot but it looks brand new when I shine a light down the bore, I bought it as new old stock with the original box.     Sm,no problem I really wouldn't mind shortening the barrel either if it doesn't hurt the ballistics to bad, would make for a handier and lighter rifle, thanks.

    It is a early barrel but it's like new, the bore shines like it has never been shot. It has a spade stamped on the underside with no warning or Hawken stamp and it does not have the QLA muzzle either. It has a serial no. of 33XXX.

    I have a early 45 cal. TC Hawken barrel that is like new but has 1 in 48" twist rate that I would like to rebore to 50 cal. with a faster twist rate for target shooting & hunting, does anyone know a "smith" that can do this.

    Thanks KJ, I'm all for making a good deal but fair is fair, I was hoping someone that owns one of these target rifles would chime in but I'm beginning to doubt it's going to happen. Makes me think it is indeed a rare rifle.

    We are meeting at the range Friday to kill some paper if the weather is good. I plan on taking some .490 & .495 balls and .010 & .015 patches, I'll be bringing the new muzzleloader home dirty!

    There really isn't anything special about this particular rifle it has the TC round Ball twist barrel and the bluing and stock is pretty plain jane compared to the Custom finished rifle you have. The box is labeled Target Model.

    Is anyone familiar with this particular TC Arms Target rifle it came with target sights a round ball 1 in 66 twist barrel and instead of brass it has blued steel parts.
