    Numrich Arms "boot pistol" question.

    My father and I each bought one back in the 1970s. Numrich was closing the stock of complete pistols for $19.95. They jump a bit on firing from the mass of the hammer and the overtravel of the trigger. I took a good amount of metal off the hammer, and made a trigger stop out of metal banding...

    Jenks Mule Ear Carbine-I think

    Hi, I just found this thread, and DD832's newer thread. I have an 1846 smoothbore Jenks, with the round loading hole. I have shot it a few times. The breech does not leak any gas, but it does have the problem that caused a lot of complaints back in the day: fouling makes the action very hard...
