    got 15 20 shots on the flint.. i put the lock of my great plains on it... last 3 shots 47 yards off hand. are the patches ok got 25 30 shots down the barrel .. 490 dia round ball 18 tho patch 75 gr 3F .. thanks michael

    hard frizzen

    what makes a flint do this?? hard frizzen?? first time it didnt go off it fired the second time .. thats a new flint.. where can i get a new frizzen beside that junk lyman makes the second flint never did fire the gun. broke the flint thanks michael

    need help with inlays

    how can you go about fixing this inlay i tried wood glue and saw dust makes it stand out like a sore thumb.. i used wood alone and still looks like hell.. the other 2 came out ok.. got chisel happy. thanks michael

    got a older model deer stalker.. found a few mins to shoot it today.. does the patches look good ??? dont thank its every been shot... still had the factory preservative all over it.. the trigger was gum up bad with it... found a few round balls .. is the stock walnut on the older models deer...

    fixing bad tang inletting

    how can you go about fixing this tang ... sent the first one back to lyman and they sent this one today.. will glass bedding raise the tang flush with the wood stock?? saw dust and wood glue will that fix it??? will a popsicle stick work??? thanks michael

    like to redo my lyman great plains next year .. brown the barrel and restain the stock. what kind inlays would look good on it??? how hard are inlays to put in... been looking at a few on track of the wolf.. man in the moon might look good on it?? what part of stock can you put inlays on it...

    set triggers on a lyman great plains

    got a problem with the set triggers on lyman.. you set the rear trigger then fire it most of time it stop at the half cock ... it will fire every time if you use the front trigger first... could the lock be rubbing on the stock???? thanks michael

    getting back in to flintlocks

    ordered a traditions deer hunter flintlock 50 cal.. got a lyman great plains .. stop shooting the lyman a few years ago . it shoots good. man is it heavy. found a place close that sells goex black powder 25 dollars a pound. without paying the hazmat ... hope the traditions shoots good done a...
