    Sprinfield Hawken

    The barrel lining looks well done. I picked up a .50 version of it at a gun store last year and it's a tack driver. It shoots better than me. .490 ball, .15 lubed patch, 90 grains of 2f olde eynsford and I'm getting 1-1.5 inch groups at 50 yards. My only limitation is my poor eyesight...

    First shot always a flyer problem...

    Not sure if anyone is still talking about the problem, but I've found a fouling charge of 75% of the main load, and a cleaning patch run through after, fouls the bore enough to consistently avoid flyers.
