    Joann's - what am I doing wrong ?

Same thing happened to me. Elderly lady looked at me like I had asked for a men's bathroom in California but without the anger.

    Teach the children muzzleloaders

Think outside the box. Put a cell phone mount on the muzzle (aka selfie stick) & add Xbox thumb controls. Oh & load & clean for them. My 2 grandkids (boy 3 & girl 5) see my gun display cabinets every time they're here which is very often. I keep telling them we'll shoot them when they're older...

    ID on a Kit Pistol

This should be an easy on to ID. All I know is the guy's dad built it from a kit. There are no markings at all. It was cheap & interesting enough so I got it. TIA

    Collecting C&B revolvers

I did it backwards. I bought a group of 7 BP guns from an estate sale before firing one, so I was a collector first. I've added a few since this pic & still want a 61 navy & a flint pistol. I've fired very few of these but I hope to correct that when I get back to the states, possibly soon. I...

Found a consignment Colt 1861 special, Signature Series

Score!! I've looked around a lot locally. One shop had a junk unmentionable BP rifle for better than $500. I said I wouldn't shoot it but he said oh sure it's safe to shoot! Another had a repop, imperfect Paterson on consignment for $800. So, I find junk or pay big. Glad you found a real deal.

    Teslong bore scope camera?

I think we have the same scope. It's fantastic but the app wouldn't work for my tablet. I had to get the generic one that the manual calls out. I highly recommend the teslong & it goes to the breech of my flintlock with length to spare. I think the more expensive models with the screen are a...

    New Pietta 1851

I contacted the seller & they're going to exchange it. They were very good about it & didn't even want pics emailed to them. Now, will I get it before I go back overseas? I don't know but hopefully. I don't know how it shoots as I never even cleaned the shipping oil off of it. If it had been...

    New Pietta 1851

I thought I read they don't do actual color case gardening these days. I'm going to call the place I bought it from & see if I can get a replacement.

    New Pietta 1851

I just bought this Pietta 1851 Navy & I'm not happy with the loading lever. The hinge area coating is pretty bare. Is this normal for Pietta? My Ubertis look much better.
