    Bobby Hoyt rebore results

I had BH bore my 54cal Browning MR to 58cal. It didn't turn out perfect, having some zigzag at the bottom of the bore in the last 4 inches. I called BH and talked to him about, explaining it shot good but you could feel the irregular rifling with the cleaning patches. He asked me to return it to...

    Finally made a Possibles Bag

The wife did the sewing, I just designed it to my personal liking. The holes in the strap were from a previous attempt. I made the buckle from scrap flat stock. The inner flap is designed to act as a seal when the flap is closed over it. All scrap material recycled.

    Bobby Hoyt barrel work

I sent my J Browning Mtn Rifle 54cal barrel to Mr Hoyt on 8/12 and it came back bored out to 58cal on 9/2. The cost was $125 plus shipping to NC was $141. I sent him a check for $150 for his excellent work. My barrel shoots great, even though it's really not even broken in after a dozen or so...

    Pecatonica TC Renegade restock project

I bought a new stock for my 30yr old TC Renegade. It started life as a kit and has filled the freezer for many years. The stock has always been awkward, having very little drop. The Pecatonica stock is a perfect fit, after a lot of sanding and fitting. The inletting was nearly drop-in but they...

    Bore Polishing

What works best for polishing a rough bore and how is the best way to accomplish this task? The bore is not terrible, just needs deep cleaned and smoothed up. I saw a response the other day from IdahoLewis but can't seem to find it now.

CAP AND BALL SLOW MOTION VIDEO

Everybody seems to have their own belief about how a chain fire occurs. I'm posting this video to show where all the fire and hot gas actually occur during firing. Watch it for yourself and see. This is just a video in slow motion. I hope your caps fit tightly and don't fall off!

Patch and ball combo for Pedersoli 45cal rifle

I found a new unfired 45cal Frontier rifle made by D.Pedersoli and am trying to shoot some 0.433 dia Hornady balls with heavy pillow ticking. 60-70gr of 3F T7 seems to be about right. Pushing the ball down the barrel is not difficult and feels about right. I was wondering if 0.440 balls would be...
