    Cabela's chaps my hide.

I too dumped their credit card, as well as avoid the place !

    Perfect revolver?

Tonneau covers are only acceptable on MG-TD’s.

    Sno- seal

For what it’s worth, my first exposure to Sno-Seal is when my Pops bought me my first baseball glove. When we went to check out, my father asked if we should get neatsfoot oil to treat the pocket. The store owner suggested the Sno-Seal as a better alternative. I’ve used it ever since then, and...

    Real Sperm Whale Oil?

Actually, there are some properties of sperm whale oil that they have not be able to “quite” duplicate. By in large though, the tribologists claim the synthetics are equal or superior for most applications.

    Cemetery guns

Actually, after seeing the election results (especially here in PA), a series of these guns should have been placed around polling places.

Colt 1860 Vs Remington New Model

Ah, the never ending question. I’ve owned several of each, both Piettas and Ubertis. It seems like I find myself going back to Remingtons after spending a hell of a lot more time cleaning Colts than shooting them. Conversely, though I love the ease of the Remington cleaning process, I soon miss...

    Minnie in a smoothie

I imagine it would dramatically de-stabilize with unpredictable results. Would probably make a wonderful defensive load within 25 feet, after that - lucky if you could hit the proverbial barn door.

    Cossack Rifle by Steve Krolick

Fantastic ! Eye catching and a real genuine conversation piece, that also promises to be a good shooter. Kudos to you !

    I think you’re right!

Euro Arms London Armoury Co. Carbine

I always understood that “they”, eventually figured out that tompions did more harm than good. Of course, kept dirt and rain, etc. from the bore, but trended to promote rust through condensation in a near vacuum situation.

What caliber is the flattest shooting?

I particularly like the Maxine Waters reference. It does, conjure up a high degree of ugly !

FFFF documented use in the Fur Trade Era? Un-glazed "Rifle Powder"? Is today's powder dirtier?

If you ever experienced “bridging”, you would never gripe about the use of graphite.

That makes sense ! Thank you.

    I love the Enfield Musketoons

Since we are on the blissful subject of Enfield Musketoons, what do I have here ? Who made it, and where’s it from ? It’s been “de-farbed”, so I can’t tell much. The P-H on the lock part, may be a red-herring, though “perhaps”, it’s an Italian Parker-Hale. To add to the confusion, the barrel...

    Dissolving Acraglas

Try IPA (isopropyl alcohol). One of my customers uses it to clean up metal used to mix two component Bis-A epoxies. I was skeptical, but he claims it works. If that doesn’t do it, try putting the nozzle of a propane torch ( Benzomatic type), down the barrel for just a few seconds. Doesn’t take...

    New BP shooter question.

I suggest you point your car South, keep driving until you find a store that has some black powder in stock - then move the rest of the family there too.

    Navy Arms .58 cal rifle

Really neat, and different. At the range at least, different is somewhat desirable!
