    Hello from Utah

Just took an official class and got my Utah carry permit; it's good in a number of other States, reciprocity-wise.

    Hawken

Yeah. When Jim offers one, it will start and continue to be a "best seller", and may overwhelm with demand! :)

    Garrett Arms rifles

I have a Garrett Arms, Norfolk, Va., Mississippi rifle replica from the early '80's. Got at auction several years ago, fascinated by the realistic-looking lettering stamped in the metal, just like the old time style. I understand the percussion Sharps' he imported are highly sought after as...

    Last of the Mohicans Rifle

I think I read an article, perhaps in Muzzleloader, about the rifle and the maker, all that good stuff. So that info is out there.

1962 Hopkins & Allen rifle sales flyer: wanted copy of

Would love to find a copy, even a Xerox of, the flyer for the H&A Underhammer rifle right about 1962. At the time, they would send it with a 1/4 lb. of black powder! Was about $44. I sent for one as a kid, but the shipping was all screwed up because of the darn black powder issue in it! got my...

Gregorelli & Uberti, Navy Arms revolver

    Pandemic Auction Revolver "Phenomena"

Yeah. They say pot is 'legal' in many areas, but it's not legal Federally. So if you want to fill out 4473's, don't also have a "pot smokers" card or 'doctor's ID"; better yet, learn to enjoy legal things like fine bourbon or scotch!

    Pandemic Auction Revolver "Phenomena"

A recent article in Firearms News posited that another powder and ammo shortage is in the works; (powder being modern reloading stuff). I already sense guys starting to stock up once again. It only takes one published nationally distributed article to start the cycle all over again.

    Pandemic Auction Revolver "Phenomena"

How "while back" was that? 1981? o_O

    Pandemic Auction Revolver "Phenomena"

I simply thing that the long-gone covid panic and shutdowns, having resulted in an ammo and gun shortage in general, drove many into the percussion marketplace as an alternative.

How Deadly is a Flintlock Rifle…

Not to mention countless deer and game, hostiles, etc., taken with flintlocks.

How Deadly is a Flintlock Rifle…

The Brits made a copy-cat rifle, the M1776, that looks like a short Bess rifled carbine. Only about 9 exist from the 1000 originally made. I have one of the Rifle Shoppe copies that was assembled by a gunsmith in PA. A friend who's retired from re-enacting bought it about 1980 along with 3 other...

I was totally guessing at about 1200.

    Pandemic Auction Revolver "Phenomena"

The Coyote dropped it off a cliff onto the speeding Road Runner, and it conked muzzle-first into the highway blacktop. (How the muzzle became flared)

    Franklin, France, The War

Michael Douglas, now 80, is starring in a new 8-part Apple TV+ series as Franklin; it's getting good reviews. I don't get computer TV, so I'll have to wait for the DVD! Based on a book, it outlines the miracle it took to get a total monarch to aid the Colonies in overthrowing another monarch...

Cap and ball revolvers, 1864, 1964

Wish I'd saved the sales flyer from the Hopkins & Allen under-hammer rifles, with the buck-skinned guy loading and firing. Also the flyer for the 1st Navy Arms revolvers, the Reb and Yank. They can be color-xeroxed nowadays, if I find any or someone could copy for me.
