    Peep sight eye relief?

Decided to try the Marbles Bullseye rear sight and matching ivory bead front sight for now...see if that works well, and if not I'll try the Skinners...thanks!

    Peep sight eye relief?

Thanks everyone...looks like I have some alternative options to check into instead of going with my original plan!

    Peep sight eye relief?

I have a CVA octagonal barrel that I was hoping to get a peep sight attached to and was looking at the Williams WGRS rear peep sight. However, if I knock out the current buckhorn sight to free up the existing dovetail, it's a good 8 inches down the barrel from the tang. Is that too far away to...

Can everyone help to indentify this gun ?

Hmm...saw a similar gun in another forum and the conclusion was a Flobert-style parlor pistol, some of which were made in Belgium: Lot Detail - (A) FLOBERT STYLE PERCUSSION TARGET PISTOL. Louis-Nicolas Flobert - Wikipedia Doesn't help identify the actual maker in this case, though.

New post from capandabll in Hungary - American target rifle of the mid-19th C.

That makes sense...he has connections and disposable money, whereas I do not and am therefore ignorant about such things!

New post from capandabll in Hungary - American target rifle of the mid-19th C.

I'm amazed at how he seems to be able to easily acquire a number of historical American muzzleloaders from across the pond. Did we have a period where relatives inheriting muzzleloaders just didn't want them and most ended up getting sold overseas because that's all they are able to own/shoot?

    Remington New Army barrel length

Not surprising given the current situation...the virus shut down the supply chain for a bit.
