    Bagmolds

I've purchased several items from Larry. I got lucky, I guess, when I called and he answered. Great products.

    Lack of younger shooters?

I just started a project for one of my graduate courses which involves instructional design. I'm planning on looking at issues in designing instruction in muzzle-loading education, so I just sent an e-mail to the extension services at my local university that sponsors and oversees the 4-H...

    Shipping box/case

I made a PVC container for my flintlock using 4" PVC, caps, and a 4-to-6" 22 1/2 degree elbow adapter to accommodate the buttstock angle. I already had the 4" PVC, so the other parts were a worthwhile expense to complete the project. I didn't make it for shipping purposes (It is quite heavy)...

Okay, who is hoarding the #11 caps..lol

Every month or so, my local Scheels gets a batch of #11's in. Unfortunately, I need #10s. I usually buy a tin of the 11's anyway, because they will work for my applications; they just aren't my preference.

Received my buckskin pants over the weekend. Thanks, Andy52. They look and fit great and feel even better.

    Antler tool

I always wondered why I haven't seen more of something along these lines. I've considered drilling out one end of my antler/rod short starter for measuring powder.

    SOLD Buckskin pants

I'll take the second pair. I'm a smaller size, so the chances of having enough material leftover will be better.

    Pewter Powderhorns

Excellent. If I return there tomorrow, I'll check it out and maybe take some photos.

    Pewter Powderhorns

The asking price was well over $200, so I passed on it. Though I'm thinking it could easily double as a beaver club.

    Pewter Powderhorns

It looked legitimate to me. It's appropriately sized and hollow but ridiculously heavy. It was missing any kind of plug for the tip. The solder joints at the four locations where the hanger pins(?) meet the "bands" had come loose, and I'm guessing compromised the interior of the horn. It...

    Pewter Powderhorns

I didn't take a photo of it, but it looked very similar to this one, which I pulled off the internet.

    Pewter Powderhorns

I saw a pewter powder horn in a secondhand store recently. I had never seen or heard of them before. Are these very common? It was relatively heavy with almost no markings on it except some kind of maker stamp near its base. From what time period would these be?

    information about a maker

Those are pretty cool. I don't think I've ever seen anything like them. Guess I'll have to do some Googling.

    information about a maker

I recently purchased a .54 caliber flintlock with the name "Jirsa" engraved on the top flat of the barrel. There is also a first initial which appears to be an "A," but I'm not positive. I believe the rifle may be from the Black Hills area but have no information as to the maker's location or...

SOLD NICE, Hardly Worn Vintage Buckskins

The 18 1/2" measurement from armpit to cuffs seems kind of short. Is that measurement made to the top of the cuff, and if so, how long is the sleeve if the cuff is rolled down?
