    Yup, I planned to let family that live away from me know what and where it is buried. I just thought of the insulated cooler because it is water tight and insulated to keep the temperature more constant and the vacuum sealed bags would keep it air and water tight.

    Apartment Longrifle Transportation?

    I use a soft case for carrying skis. The case is big enough that I can carry my 1842 rifled musket along with two or three other long muskets in gun socks so they don't mar each other.

    Can you be more specific as to how much castor oil and denatured alcohol you are using? I'd like to try this combination since I have a supply of both.

    Lyman ?

    It sounds like your rear sight has a 3/8" or .375 dovetail and the Lyman BPR has a rear sight dovetail that is .360". The Lyman catalog list the correct sight.
