    Kibler side effect?

The Hawken style rifle will be a half stock percussion. Thanks!

    Kibler side effect?

Ha! I've heard this many times. Unfortunately, there is more involved. We will offer a left-handed rifle someday, but it will probably be at least 5 years from now. As with any business we choose to work on the highest demand projects first as this generates more cashflow and allows for more...

    Kibler side effect?

Thank you. Any successfull business really is a two-way street. Over the years, we have been blown away by the support and business we have received. We have lots of plans to grow, increase offerings and quality. It's always a push and a battle, but that's what we do. Only time will tell...

    Kibler side effect?

Yes, we just got a very expensive CNC machine set-up and running. Although very costly, it will pay for itself and makes complete business sense. This is a passion, but at the same time it is very much a business. You're right, expensive machines require lots of sales, which we are thankful...

    I did a bad thing.

As a comparison, we assume 100% responsibility for damages or losses from shipping. We replace things immediately and make it right for the customer.

Rehardening frizzens - one size fits all? Musings for metallurgy masterminds....

Cherry Red, Kasenite etc. equals very shallow case…

    Kibler side effect?

Our selection is smaller, but our quality is superior to most all “custom” rifles. Definitely no comparison to products from TVM etc. just the truth…

    Underlug hole elongation...

Absolutely not. I go through thousands of stocks each year and can assure you movement can be significant. I would suggest at least one pin diameter fore and aft of the pin. Listen to professionals and highly respected top builders. Why I keep preaching I sometimes wonder…

Rehardening frizzens - one size fits all? Musings for metallurgy masterminds....

1350 F is too low of a temperature to quench from. Little to no hardening will occur.

    Underlug hole elongation...

    Wood movement. Don’t underestimate it

    Underlug hole elongation...

Yes, and a very bad idea not to elongate. Listen to the professionals and experts.

    Inletting swamped barrel

That's a good technique. I did basically the same on a few guns I built 35 years ago. Nice.

    My Kibler Colonial

Nice looking rifle! Cherry would make a pretty poor ramrod as its cross grain shear strength is pretty low. Go with hickory. Generally, ramrods don’t match the stock anways

SPECIAL SELECT MAPLE Kibler Kits Move quickly!!!

We've been running these stocks and it really is some great wood. Very nice figure, nice and dense etc.

    Underlug hole elongation...

I suggest using a jewelers saw and small needle files to clean up. I have used diamond rotary tools, but they can very easily drift up and down while elongating.

Adding brass endcap to Woodsrunner patchbox.

You can anneal if you want, but it's not necessary. Just a gripe... So often I hear that this or that won't work with a kit. Let me say that most of the time it's just someone who doesn't understand how to go about a task or doesn't have experience, confidence etc. We certainly make...

Adding brass endcap to Woodsrunner patchbox.

Of course it will bend enough. Do you think I would provide something that wouldn't work?

¿Dumb question about Kibler flintlocks and WTS listings on this site?

If there are a lot of completed kits for sale, it is a reflection of how many are sold.

I wouldn't worry about chips. What makes the difference. First shot and they are blown out.

    Kibler side effect?

So I consider them to be terrible quality. Why do you think we have such differing opinions?
