    You didn t ask, but I would just swab and slug out the bbl and breech and shoot it. Start with Green scrubber pads, they work.

    I took off the lock and bbl off mine, the reassembly was not right. I had your problem I don't remember which I attached first, Lock or bbl. But just a redo corrected the issue. Ennyhoo, the lock could be too tight, or bolted on some slight angle.

    Long Barrels. Long. TV and movie actors don't like carrying around long heavy bbls. producers shortened barrels or acquired short barrel rifles. eg. Tom Selleck didn't want to lug around a 14# Sharps so they made one with an aluminum barrel in Quimby Down Under. Real men.....Do not use...

    If y'all have a hankering for one, check the NSSA for sale. I bought an Italian one for $250. Shoots great with 45 grains, mimie at 100 yrs. The guy sent load data and targets. These old buzzards are dieing off fast and downsizing.

    I shot against a guy who went thru a case of powder a year. A case! Needless to say, he was a very good shot.

    Closest To the Heart. years ago; At a rondy there was the Ace of Hearts on a post @100yds. I won the money with 2 balls touching the heart. BTW, the third shot went wherever in the atmosphere.. T/C .50 . Now I couldn't see the card at 100 yds.
