Surefire way to drill a horn spout?

If you wrap your hand around the neck of the horn you can often feel drill vibration and or heat prior to "drilling thru" stop ,plug ,start over. If you still manage to "drill thru" you will remember to go slower next time.

    Caps sticking in hammer ?

My CVA Mt. rifle had this habit. I put a small stone in the Dremel and "polished" the hammer cup.

I'm done with EMSS patch material.

My experience has been "they will make it right" give them a call and explain the problem, they can not fix what they do not know is broken.

    Best Tent Waterproofing

Can-Vek seems to be "out of stock" and I was told that they are changing the fomular to meet regs. Does anyone have experience with Starbrite or Dryguy?

She Ain't Pretty, But She Shoots

Check the nipple, it may be "mushroomed"a bit. Chuck the nipple in a drill and use either a fine file or emery paper to gently smooth the top. Keep checking with a cap until you get the fit that you want.

I Don't Know How To Explain My Pouch Stitching Style.....So.....Pictures

I have used this product often with good results, no bleed thru with most fabrics. Note if you follow directions on the can this stuff will "grab" on contact with no adjusting so I leave the fabric oversize and trim after contact. Cover your work surface as overspray will remain for a long time.

Who makes a good range rod?

Check out the range rods by Eastern Maine Shooting Supply. The sectional one breaks down in my range box and the full length one carries in the barrel on woods walks. 10/32 fittings, great rod reasonable price.

    Pewter Powderhorns

I posted a p hoto. of one of these a while back and was told by several that it was most likely from Turkey or some where in the Mid East

    Amusing/Ridiculous Muzzleloading Misconceptions...

If you use "this lube" you will season the bore, just like seasoning a cast iron fry pan.

    Ballistol Warning

This is the method that I use and will add a caution note....On the "upstroke" you should stop just shy of the muzzle, you will get wet and black, you need not ask how I know.
