Building a companion pistol for my long rifle

I finished a Kibler Colonial in .54 caliber last year. I was thinking that I now would like to build a companion for it in the same caliber from the same time period. Since I am still a greenhorn I am looking for a kit with a pre carved stock. Something not overly complicated but good quality...

    Help identify this pistol

Thanks y'all still trying to sort photo out. With my limited knowledge looks like I am correct in my assessment that it is not worth much. I think I will pass on it and stick to my first choice. Build my own.

Aqua fortis on its own or add tannic acid?

Some day i will learn how to import photos. In the mean time, I finished the same rifle. I used aqua fortis and after I used a little laurel Lancaster maple stain to bring out a bit more red. I like the look. Did upgrade to Kibler's Premium curly maple stock, glad I did, magnificent piece of wood

    Building Blind

Dave, your kindness will be rewarded back to you tenfold. Young man sounds like a fighter. Best of luck on this build. Makes me feel shame on myself for all the cussing I did on my first build this year.

Jim Kibler is a great guy to do business with. Very passionate about his work. I bought one of his colonial rifles last year came with a Chambers lock. Thinking about buying another for my other son with his new lock. You can't go wrong trading with Kibler.

Flint Guns; more accidents than percussion?

I was a scout leader for most of the 90's and early 2000's. Also back in the late 60's as a kid. Noticed a big change in scouting. Got way too PC for me. You can not debate anything with council or national. Don't get me wrong I loved the program as it was founded. But they kind of left old...
