    Caps available from Grafs...

The price w/shipping and hazmat may seem a bit on the high side but, you may not see them pop up again at a better price. You would be wise to buy it when you see it if you’re in need. I have made the mistake of passing on necessary components but, I won’t again.

Aftermarket cones for revolvers that will fit CCI #11 caps

You mentioned Slix Shot cones and there in lies your best option. I changed the the nipples on my unmodified Uberti revolvers to Slix Shot and have never had to second strike a CCI #11 cap. They are worth the expense if you don’t want the delicate process of making the nipple work.

Bought a decoration, turns out it’s a real percussion rifle! Tips?

Cherry’s in Greensboro is a good source for muzzleloading guns and supplies. You can find their location and contact information with an internet search. I feel certain that someone there can provide the information that you need.

    Haz Mat Shipping Charge

Might be the case. Bowing to the PC culture will only embolden the activists who will never be satisfied.

    Haz Mat Shipping Charge

Check Midway for a lower hazmat fee. The last time I ordered it was about half the BP/Cabela’s fee.

    Percussion cap shortage

Tap-o-Cap is going to be difficult to locate. Even if a fella finds one, he’s gonna have a hard time finding the caps. Don’t know of any toy sellers that even sell cap pistols anymore much less the rolls of caps. Don’t wanna expose the children to that evil gun stuff you know. Dang, things sure...

What model of TC is this?

I would let that one slide. Too many better options for little more money.

    Another .32 Crockett Thread

I’ve got a Crockett that I built from a kit several years ago. I put it into the safe and more or less forgot about it until I read this thread. I guess that I’ll dust it off and give it a go. Looks like accuracy can be hit and miss with these little fellas. Should be fun experimenting.

    Black powder

I’m down to about a pound of 2F and 3F each, give or take. My usual local source changed hands and the new owners don’t seem to have much interest in muzzleloading. Time to look for another source of powder. I have been reluctant to order on line due to Hazmat fees. Graf’s seems like a good...

    Bear

In that bear is known to have a high fat content, I would think that the spring bear would be the better because it would tend to be lean meat. Just WAG since I don’t have a clue.

    SOLD T/c hawken

Patch box shouldn’t be a problem. Many on EBay from a low of $35 to high of $70.

    YouTube is driving me crazy!

Demolition Ranch is another huge YouTube firearms channel hosted by a young Texas veterinarian. He has more subscribers than Hickok45. From the information provided here, I suspect that his veterinary practice is supplemental to his YouTube productions.

    Ungrateful identification seekers

Crankshaft, I know where you are coming from. I see this on every firearms forum that I frequent. While it may seem an annoyance to some, particularly when the information is easily found via the search button. However, by offering polite and pleasant response, we are leaving a friendly and...

    Serial Number Dating a T/C

I just pulled my barrel and found a mark that resembles an “M” stamped on the bottom of the barrel 5 or 6 inches above the breech. Anyone have any idea what it means?

Traditions .32 cal Crockett kit build

Yes, it can be deleted. There are two ways to accomplish this. Cut a similar piece of wood the same thickness as the brass spacer and simply use it rather than the brass. You could omit the brass and press the two pieces together although, it may require deepening the holes for the dowels a...

Traditions .32 cal Crockett kit build

The Kona stain really does improve the looks of those rifles. I have a Crockett that I built some time ago that will benefit from a strip and redo like your Kentucky.

    Serial Number Dating a T/C

I also have a .45 cal that was purchased used that apparently was made around the same time as your gun (#508xx). The previous owner believes that he purchased it in the 80s. Date of manufacture and actual sale date could vary quite a bit but, it does establish a range.

    Murphy's Soap???

After going through that list, I think that it might be easier to list the ones that don’t have hydrogen peroxide. :) Apparently, there are many good recipes for cleaning. Moose Milk works fine for me.
