    WITHDRAWN Pedersoli Brown Bess…

Navy Arms would make sense. I haven't seen any of those though. I'm interested in finding out what it is.

    WITHDRAWN Pedersoli Brown Bess…

If it's Pedersoli, it will look like this. I think yours might be India made. Nothing wrong with that, I have some, but they're not worth as much as a Pedersoli.

    Pedersoli locks bad?

Found the post: Pedersoli Patent Breech design My issue isn't the lock, it's the breech. If you get one that has it(all of them don't), this thread will help.

    Pedersoli locks bad?

That's where I am with my trade gun. I do not ever want another barrel with this breach. It's my understanding that only some of Ped's guns have this. I can't find the thread, but just did a deep dive on the "special" loading tips to help with it.

.62 smoothbore as an all around gun?

I vote for one of all the above! If there is a best do it all, it's a .62 smoothie. My Pedersoli trade gun is a little finicky, but it's getting me by until I can get a nice custom one.

    The Rifle Shoppe and Others

Keep in mind that the prices are outdated. I hear you need to have special skills to assemble these. Even experienced builders have reservations. Here is some great eye candy of the #587. This builder does not want to make another one. Lodgewood paddlebutt

    The Rifle Shoppe and Others

It depends... ...you're best bet is to call to see if it's in stock. Keep in mind, this is a mom & pop shop out of their home. You may have to call a few times before you talk to someone.

    The Rifle Shoppe and Others

The catalog is an inch thick, I'm sure trying to put that on the website is time prohibitive. I'm also sure that printing new ones these days would cost a fortune. If someone is interested in a particular one, let me know the # & I'll try to post a photo like above. The back of the book also...

    The Rifle Shoppe and Others

I have an 2007-2008 catalog. Do you know specifically which parts set they purchased? There are several that would be appropriate for that era.

    Wheellock sear repair ...

Another note on the Day wheellock... ...I spoke with Len III last week. They are in the process of converting the coil locks back to chains. No word on when they will be available, but they're working on them.

    Wheellock sear repair ...

I really want to get this thing to work properly. It's been on the wall for years. I'm sure some polishing will help. Flint's list of issues is a great help.

    Wheellock sear repair ...

I was fiddling around with the lock the other day & I think my issue is a weak secondary sear spring. The wheel will wind and you feel/hear the detent ball drop in. When the spanner is released, the wheel slips back a bit and will not release with the trigger. If I manually push the secondary...

    Wheellock disassembly and cleaning?

Ok, so this time I took the wheel off. Sure looked like the back of it could use some polishing. It appears that the Ballistol is not enough to lube the lock. I used some bore butter and the binding disappeared. Huzzah! The issue with the tight trigger/sear bar mating in the stock appears...

Where the Heck?? Colt 1860 Part?

I agree, not from an 1860. When in doubt, check the schematic: VTI gun parts
