    That is certainly true. I have done a good amount of 3d computer modeling. It takes an enormous amount of time and skill to come up each design.

    American black walnut has pores.That is normal. European walnut does not have the pores. But European walnut is far more expensive.

    How much black powder is too much?

    8 bore is an African big game hunting rifle. It is for shooting very large targets at very short ranges. Likely that it was made to be as powerful as possible with no real concern as to accuracy.

    Smooth bore recoil?

    WW Greener would only make 4 bore in smooth bore because of the recoil. Just for fun, try running these numbers through one of those recoil calculators. I believe he was using 20 dram powder charge for 1900 fps in the 4 bore.

    Can you get 3 aimed shots a minute?

    I do about 3 shots in 10 minutes or so. Don't really know. Don't care either. I'm never in much of a hurry when I go shooting.

    Newbie questions - inletting a swamped barrel

    By the time I finish the gun I forgot where I had to fill in the gaps. Nobody seems to notice them. That means they don't exist anymore.
