    Hawken Target

Still working on improving my Hawken .50 groups at 50 yards. This target shot with 60 grs of OE 3f and Flintlocks LLC patches. This is one of my better groups. These patches ram down the barrel easier than larger Ox-Yoke patches.

    Whitacre front sight for Zouave

I had Dan Whitacre install this front sight. Turn around time was extremely quick. The blade width is 0.08" and the distance from the bottom of the barrel to the top of the sight is 1.035". I will zero in primarily using Lyman wadcutters. Heavier Minie Balls and Round lead balls will require me...

What kind of tool would be needed to cut a slot in the front sight base to insert a blade. Sorry this is the best photo I have.

    Navy Arms Zouave

Bought my first Zouave. Overall it is in excellent condition with a bright and shiny barrel. The front sight has been filed down so it must have been shot previously. It was made in 1974. My RWS musket caps fit loose on the nipple so I'm going to try a new nipple from Track of the Wolf or from...

    Pietta New Army .44

I purchased a 2nd cylinder over the winter so I don't need to keep reloading just 1 cylinder. I only got to shoot this once late last year. I should be going out the range in the next few days. Can't wait to shoot lead round balls out of this.

I took some scrap boards and made a support platform for my revolver loading stand. Might add more stability when pressing a load into the cylinders.

    NMLRA Postal Match

I received for my targets for this match. This is my first time with the Postal Match. Shooting crow at 25 yds, fox and deer at 50 yds, and bear at 100 yds. Will be interesting to see if I even hit the target at 100 yds with my Hawken. Postal Match

First shots from Hawken this year.

I shot my Investarms .50 Hawken for the first time this year. I got my best group ever at 50 yards using 55 grs. of Olde Eynsford 3F and .018" ticking patch for the first time. I put a little extra Precision Lube 2000 on each patch. Hornady .490 balls. And I ran a cleaning patch between each...

    The Hawken Shop

Does anyone own or shoot a Hawken from this Shop ? This website states they were being manufactured again ? "Consequently Hawken was back in business, producing Hawken rifles once again." http://thehawkenshop.com/hawken_history.htm

    SOLD T/C Hawken .45

Factory original T/C in 92-95% used condition. I bought this in 2017 and have shot less than 50 balls through this. Barrel thoroughly washed out and lubed after shooting. Selling this because I already have 2 Investarms in .50 that are my go to rifles. Comes with extra new nipple plus the barely...

    Investarms Hawken .50

Replaced the nipple with a musket nipple and used RWS musket caps. Fired all rounds with no problems. Trigger is not as smooth as I would like. Might replace it next year.

    Another Hawken

Just bought an Investarms Hawken .50 cal. Have not shot it yet. I emailed Investarms with the serial number and they said it is about 20 years old. Shown next to my T/C .45 cal. (bottom)

    T/C Hawken accuracy

I have shot my recently purchased Hawken only once for accuracy at 50 yards. What size of groups should I expect? I am shooting .440 Hornady balls with .015 Ox-Yoke patches (.45 cal.). So far I can barely get a 6" group.

    New member from Ohio

I bought a Thompson Center Hawken .45 last year along with all the items needed to load and clean the rifle. I will be shooting it this spring. I have not shot any BP rifle since I was a teenager. This website has a lot of valuable information. I did visit the Log Cabin Shop in Lodi last year to...
