    Pedersoli Charles Moore ????

Hi I have one, the black finished one. BP year code. The gun is pretty and accurate. Bore is tight, as it needs .430 balls. For me it has one flaw: the lock. It is really small and needs lots of work to install the flints. Not a great sparker, but no misfires. It is a pretty accurate pistol...

    Unfired CVA 12ga SxS

I have not shot it yet :( I am trying hard to domesticate a stubborn 45/70 IAB sharps rifle which takes all my shooting time, and lots of petrol, lead and black stuff...by now :D

    Unfired CVA 12ga SxS

Hi all. I have recently purchased an unfired CVA (Dikar) 12ga double shotgun. I also have a Traditions (Ardesa)Fowler but was in need of a second pew. I am very excited.... long time awaiting to get a good affordable double shotgun.

    Bad Balls

I have seen swaged balls that simply weren´t balls....the shape was more or less oval. If you measure your balls, you´ll see that they are far more oval than cast ones. I shoot german H&N swaged balls. Are affordable, rather round and do their job. For me, casting small balls (36´s, 45´s)...

    D.P. Enfield?

I have both a Euroarms P53 and a Chiappa Zouave. By far, I prefer the Enfield style straight stock for accuracy, since the cheek and eye are perfectly positioned for taking sights. With the Zouave I feel like the cheek is in "the air", so, for me sighting is a bit more unconfortable....and I...

    Baker rifle barrel dimensions

Hi all, I have an idea in mind: the possibility to adapt a Traditions Kentucky barrel to an indian made Baker rifle (...well, smoothbore  ), but I need to know the Baker rifle barrel dimensions: -External diameters at: muzzle and chamber. -Flash hole distance to the plug. Thank you all.

    Pitiful 20 ga roundball accuracy

I´m sorry I don´t anything to share. Spain is not the best land for guns. Here, we don´t have the original guns market people have in the US or even the UK, but sometimes you find something special...

    Load for a .36 Navy

Hi I have 2 navy pietta´s, one with steel frame and another with brass frame. They do have different twist rates. The steel frame one is new production and has a fast twist rate, and likes .375ball + 15gr of 3f swiss powder + 10mm felt wad. The brass frame one is older has a slower twist rate...

Need advice: GPR or Traditions Pennsylvania

I thinking it a little more, maybe I´ll finally choose the Traditions. As they are produced here, parts would be easier to find. In my region ML shooters are almost non existent, so I don´t have the chance to compare both rifles, in fact, the GPR can only be purchased in one single gunshop...

    Flash cones around nipple

Those cones make cleaning process a looot easier. Almost 90% of the residues are kept into the cup....and all the sparks and particles that usually tend to impact your face, are kept there, too.

Need advice: GPR or Traditions Pennsylvania

Hi all, I´m a bit bored and I think I need a new toy... :youcrazy: I have 2 options in mind: a GPR and a Traditions Pennsylvania rifle, both in percussion. I know that the GPR might have more "authentic" finnish than the Traditions Pennsylvania. I have a couple Traditions rifles and their...

    Minie for hunting

Forgot to mention that here, our traditional way to hunt big game is with dogs, so you are shooting an animal full of adrenaline chased by dogs...so velocity and shock are essential: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_A1IpMECLgY

    Minie for hunting

I shot several REAL LEE .45 bullets, and left a lot of lead in my rifle too...without any advantage over PRB. Never again.

    Parker Hale 2-band Stock

It´s just a matter of taste between USA and Europe. I think european models have straighter stocks with less drop than USA models. That´s what I find in my Euroarms 3 bander and my Chiappa Zouave. Exactly the same you have with american long rifles and german jager rifles.

    Minie for hunting

I have no experience with ML and hunt....but I know that velocity is important. With minié bullets you have 2 important red lines: velocity and lead strenth.....and PRB are less sensitive to those factors. My Euroarms enfield shoots accurately 600gr minié at 290m/s....and for me, that´s not...

    Traditions Kentucky?

If they made their percussion locks in the same way they have improved their flintlocks (plain with a beautiful hammer) their rifles would be way more attractive.

    What Made You Choose Flintlock?

Yep, I used to wear the redcoat too  [/img]
