Safe to shoot roundball in a cap and ball revolver?

I realized that if I put them screw pointing out they don't come out. Seems I answered my own question.

Safe to shoot roundball in a cap and ball revolver?

Thanks for the very informative answer. I just tested my balls and they are a little small so they roll into the chamber, will that cause an issue?

Safe to shoot roundball in a cap and ball revolver?

Recently started casting my own roundball, they have a sprue on them. I am going down to the range tomorrow with my Walker, would they be safe to shoot with the sprue, I have only ever shot roundball without a sprue.

    Blunderbuss questions

Hello all, I'm thinking of purchasing a traditions blunderbuss kit. I just had a few questions: Has any had one and what is your input on it? How does it compare accuracy wise to say a pedersoli repro brown bess? How historically accurate is it?

Non-lead Shot for muzzleloading double barrel shotgun?

Hello, I recently got a dixie double barrel shotgun as a gift. I want to take it hunting, but here in Commiefornia we need non-lead shot. I was wondering if anyone has used any that is safe in a muzzleloader? The barrels are chrome lined so I'm thinking steel should work right?

    Jag stuck in flintlock rifle

    I think it's a too big jag.

    Jag stuck in flintlock rifle

Here's the weirder thing. When I first got it I tested putting the cleaning jag all the way down the barrel, for whatever reason if I pushed at the end of the barrel too hard, it would get stuck and I would need to use pliers to help pull it out, any idea why? Should I not be pushing my jag and...

    Jag stuck in flintlock rifle

I'm using patches for .22-.27 caliber. Shouldn't that not cause issues?

    Jag stuck in flintlock rifle

What would you recommend as a thickness for a .32 caliber rifle?

    Jag stuck in flintlock rifle

Going to do the powder trickle method as I'm going to BLM lands to shoot tomorrow.

    Jag stuck in flintlock rifle

So, when I am drying my bore I should use patches with spit on them? And yeah, I don't want to risk a run in with the police in California.

    Jag stuck in flintlock rifle

I don't know anyone and the issue with living in Commiefornia is if I go to a facility someone is probably going to call the police on me for having a firearm in public.

    Jag stuck in flintlock rifle

I was already half way through cleaning it. I was merely drying it out when it got stuck. There was no more black powder residue left for it to get stuck on.

    Jag stuck in flintlock rifle

Tried that and tried putting WD 40. NO dice. It's stuck good down there, God knows why.

    Jag stuck in flintlock rifle

Threads are still there. I tried screwing it back on and pulling, but it is stuck in there good. I even got another guy to help me pull and no dice. I have no idea why it's stuck in there. There shouldn't be any powder left as I was nearly finished cleaning it. Perhaps the dry patch I was...

    Jag stuck in flintlock rifle

I honestly don't know why it got stuck. All I know is when I pushed the rod all the way to the end of the barrel it felt like it went into a sort of crevice and from there I was unable to take it out. I had this issue a few times while I was swabbing it while shooting, but I was always able to...

    Jag stuck in flintlock rifle

It's a pedersoli frontier rifle. It was the first time I ever fired it and I was cleaning it. I could remove the vent liner. Yes, the patch is stuck but I can push the jag in, I just can't pull it out.

    Jag stuck in flintlock rifle

Interesting method. I don't have an airhose though. Ever try the trickle powder in method?

    Jag stuck in flintlock rifle

Hi, so about two weeks ago, I was cleaning my flintlock after a nice day of shooting and the jag got stuck. Me being an idiot, I twisted and got the ramrod out but the jag is stuck in there good. I dried her up as best as I could and I'm going to BLM lands to shoot this Friday. Is it advisable...
