    NEW Traditions Mountain rifle?

no deer or elk this year. Just a bear tag which is kinda like a credit card with no money on it :haha:

    NEW Traditions Mountain rifle?

True. After hunting season I'll have time to sit down and really do some home work on the accuracy of the rifle. It has the 1:48 twist but it shoots SOLID with heavier charges.

    NEW Traditions Mountain rifle?

well at over $300 for 100 targets, I will gladly patch up old holes from previous shooting sessions. That target is 17" diameter so I have plenty of room for shooting multiple guns and groups. When the holes get to big, its either a new target or duck tape. Next time I'll use my video camera...

    NEW Traditions Mountain rifle?

Not sure all that was said but he dislikes my targets LOL. They are expensive but oh so purdy to shoot. After hunting season I'll get some video work going with the rifles. The flintlock they did a great job on. I have at least 50 strikes on it now and it doesnt have that nasty deep gash...

    NEW Traditions Mountain rifle?

As far as I know, I am the only person to have pulled the trigger on one of these new mountain rifles! I was surprised but they brought back a huge favorite of mine on this model. The hexagon ramrod thimbles!

    NEW Traditions Mountain rifle?

a lot of that happens due to the tang screw. Its metal being pulled into wood. I bed all of my trigger and tangs now. Zero issues since doing it. May give that a try if you find your tang screws loose at the end of a shoot.

    NEW Traditions Mountain rifle?

looks fine to me. The LOP on my hawken woodsman are both 14" at the trigger point. Perfect for my size. As for that little gap, bend the trigger guard inward if you buy one. Not like it hurts the function of the rifle

    NEW Traditions Mountain rifle?

doubt it. Traditions has been doing a solid job with inletting and even upgrading their machining to make inletting even tighter than in the past. The stocks wrist area is also beefed up from previous years. Theres nothing thin about this wrist. In fact, I have an original highly figured maple...
