    Manufacturer Preference?

    I got my Colt 1860 from Dixie Gun Works. Worked fine right out of the box. Have over 300 rounds through it and the only problem I had was the latch retaining pin falling out. DGW sent me a new one.

    All you need to clean and store is Ballistol.

    Cleaning my GPR

    I use Ballistol. Clean with a mixture of 10 parts water 1 part Ballistol. Once clean, I use 100% Ballistol. It never hardens and protects against rust. I live in a humid climate and have had no problems.

    I have been but if I'm able to see the front sights clearly the 100yd plate is to fuzzy to get a good sight picture.

    Shot Sunday. Found that my glasses were giving me problems. Corrected glasses problem and shot center POA 50yds and hit a 12" steel plate at 100yds with a POA of center. Seemed most of the 100yd shots were slightly below center.

    Never. The leather will promote rust.

    POI 50ys vs 100yds?

    Checked everything and all is tight. Conclusion is that with 60gr 777 2f with a 50 yd zero, no drop at 100yds.
