Can you get 3 aimed shots a minute?

https://rjrenner.blogspot.com/p/tapered-paper-cartridges.html Eight seconds to reload and shoot, even figuring 10, that is 6 a minute.

    Chambers English gentlemans Sporting Rifle

If you are horseback hunting, shorter rifles are nice. The bigger the bore, the lighter the rifle. I like big bores, you can load them up or down.

Unusual (to me) Bill Large barreled rifle

I like the round tapered and flared barrel with no full under rib.

My rifle project has just earned a name....

One quiet calm mourning, I touched of my 12 bore rifle! It sounded like rolling thunder thru the woods, hence the name "Ole Thunder" came to be. None of my other guns have names.

Guns will name them selves, if they want one. Just be patient!

Kibler has announced a Hawken Kit in the works.

I believe that he cnc machines the profile and barrel lugs on the barrel blanks.

    Cow Elk Load

When I was a youngster, if you had a 12 ga smooth bore that would put 5 shots into a 7" group at 100 yds, you had a true deer killer. We hunted thick cover and never shot over 75 yds. The same applies to elk, my advice is to think like a bow hunter. Now my rifled 12 bore will shoot 3 shots...

What should the drop at the heel be? I like that The Hawken Shop uses 2.7/8". I also like a wide butt plate with less curve.

Why Not? A machined solid under rib. No screw holes or rivets or soldier. Quicker assembly. Just a thought.

Less parts to stock, and he could do it. [solid under rib]

    Cow Elk Load

My buddie always used 120FF in his 54 Renegade. It was an Elk Killer for sure.[RB]

My question is will the Hawkins barrel have a solid under lug [should be under rib]? CNC machined into the bottom of the barrel?

I'm hoping for a Hawken that looks like an English Sporter!

    lead melting pots recommendation

I also use a propane fish cooker, small stainless pan, RCBS pour, and a thermometer. Fish cooker has a pressure dial that I marked for 800 degrees. I get better fills than with my LEE bottom pours.
