    Traditions Crockett rifle

    I got to look at one today. The ramrod is metal, but when you point the barrel down towards the floor the ram rod falls out. Also the ramrod is about 5 inches longer than the barrel. I passed on this. Kind of disappointing.

    Which powder for over 30inch barrels

    Traditions recommends 2f for 30 and over barrels in my 50 cal. What are you shooting in the long barrel. From the owners manual for 32 cal they say 3f. Was trying to just use one powder for both.

    I got the stocks together but the under part their is about 1/8 more stock then the plate. Can I remove that much stock?

    I'm going to get a Traditions Kentucky rifle kit to get back into more simpler muzzle loading. I have been out of all muzzle loading for a while. The cal will be 50, if my memory serves me right .490 ball with either a .010 or .015 patch. I can't remember if the combination was same as bore or...
