What are your favorite Thompson Center (T/C) Percussion guns?

Right now it’s the Pennsylvania Hunter, and New Englander. I like shotgun style butt plate and single trigger. I need to pick up a Renegade and a White Mountain carbine. I have a Hawken, but rarely shoot it.

    need hammer

Track of the Wolf has some T/C stuff.

    Buckeye Carbine

When I first saw it, I thought it was a New Englander, until I got closer and saw how short the barrel was.

    Buckeye Carbine

Found this in a gun shop today, very good price, so I couldn’t leave it there. 1st one I’ve seen. That 20” barrel is really short, I’ll need a block under it to load! A few dents and dings, nothing major, and bore is very good. Serial is around 490.

    T/C New Englander

I have a 54 I bought off this forum. Love it.

    The 1853 Enfield

Not enough drop in the stock for me, I prefer the Springfield. I like the looks of the Enfield better, but I can’t shoot it well.

    T/C Big Boar

I never expected that. Not in a million years. So not worth that kind of money.

Range report. Peach is SUCH a good girl!

Nice rifle! I just found one of those, received today. Hopefully it’ll shoot as well as yours.

    In the pawnshop.

I don’t even see muzzleloaders in the pawn shops around here anymore.

    T/C Big Boar

Starting at $500 or so I can see, probably would have bid on it. But not at this price.

    T/C Big Boar

Big Boar 58 popped up on Gunbroker. Starting at a mere $1200!

    Traditions Crockett rifle

I agree. I’d have passed on that one also. There’s no shortage of these. Sounds like that was a replacement ramrod for some reason.

    Ready-made patches for sale?

I just buy pillow ticking or pillow ticking patches. Never have measured any. If I can keep a 6 or 8 inch group offhand at 50 yards, I’m having a great day. What I’m trying to say is, my shooting ability makes far more difference in my group sizes than does patch thickness.
