    wall tents

My son had a used boy scout wall tent at our family reunion a few weeks ago. It is a boy scout green color. I'd like to know why only white tents are allowed at ronde's ? In reading journals of the old mountain men, they did their best to hide their camps from the Indians who wanted their...

    10X12 10 oz tarp, canvas

I just bought a lightweight canvas tarp, 100% cotton, and water resistant. I plan on using it at rondy's as I don't have a tent yet. Figured I'd make either a lean to, or diamond shelter using it, what do you folks think? Did I do right?

    traditions kentucky rifle

I have this rifle, .50 cal I bought new as a kit and built. I've yet to get it to shoot right. I use hodgesons triple seven, 2F and 65 grains. It seems to shoot to the left no matter what I do, like four inches at 25 yards. I've tried less, and more powder, but it's always the same. I'd sure...

    going to the highlonesome

In a week or so we're going up to the highlonesome for the summer. Have had fun down in the Arizona desert shooting, but, it's getting to darn hot, so it's up to the cabin for the summer. I'm going to be trying real black powder as I've shot triple seven since I started. I can't wait to get...

    casting my own round balls

I just got through trying to cast my own balls for the first time. Not good. I had the pot on a small single burner camp stove, propane, heated the mold once the lead was about ready, then dipped my ladle in and tried to pour the lead. Mold was lubed, anyway, I didn't get the mold filled on the...

    trigger pull reduction

I have a traditions .50 caliber Kentucky rifle I build from a kit years ago, and am wanting to reduce the trigger pull, it's pretty hard. I've lost the darn instructions, so am not sure how to take it apart and get it back together. Also reduce the trigger pull. does someone know how I can do...

rifle shooting to left of target

I have a traditions Kentucky kit rifle in .50 caliber. Went out to sight it in this morning, and it pulls to the left of center all the time. Am shooting from a bench rest on the front end. I moved the sight to the right, no difference. I have to be doing something wrong, just can't figure out...

    corn boiler

Hope I'm in the right place. I just bought a corn boiler for my camp supply. Could someone tell me where the name came from and why it's called that, also it's history. It's an odd little pot, but I can see a million uses for it. I'd just like to know a little about it, but don't know where to...

    Black powder in AZ

Anyoone know where to get it here? I want the original stuff. I've heard Goex is also good? I was told Bass Pro had it, they don't. Matter of fact they carry little BP stuff, and only for their inline rifles, they don't even sell traditional guns anymore either. I've given up on that bunch...

pillow ticking? I asked my wife and she hasn't a clue what it is. I heard I could get it from Wal Mart, but, what is is and how do I recognize it on a shelf? I've been using pre lubed patches but want to get some pillow ticking and try it. This way I won't run short.

I carry mine fully loaded and the hammer sits down on a position of being between the caps, not half cocked, or with no caps. I carry for protection and this works on my revolvers.

    Cabelas BP target revolver

When I got my first revolver, I shot it a lot, and I took one of the nipples out during cleaning. I won't start again. I must've done something to it so the nipple won't start again. Does anyone know what kind of a tap I need to re=thread the cylinder? I haven't been able to find one that's made...
