    What Rato-rats stated is the most accurate info. Flintlock rifles, shotguns are considered antiques under Canada law and are not regulated. Also anything before 1899 as long as the barrel length is 4.25 inches is an antique.

    You could try cornmeal or wheatlets over the powder. Drench the patch as much as you can with what you use for lube, but that's if I had any muzzleloaders🤫.

    Geometries of a flintlock

    You need a larger flint, but the flint that's on the lock can be repositioned better by using a bit more leather behind the flint or a toothpick. Use Uncle Miltie's as an example of the size of flint that is needed and how much flint should be protruding from the cock.
