    Small Elk Bag

    Just finished this small pouch out of soft elk with deerskin binding. I think it will be a good size for a days hunt. Small pocket in the main pouch with pocket on the back. Strap is canvas dyed with tea. Inside of flap lined with canvas also. Debating dying the binding dark brown also. Opinions...

    The first shots from my .50 cal Kibler colonial did not disappoint! Load was 60 gr Goex ff, .015 cotton drill patch lubed with Moose snot, .490 PRB. 25 yd target is 5 shots(don't count top 2) 50 yd target has a spread of about 2 inches. All shot off the bench. I'll take it.

    Laurel Mtn Forge browning solution works great. Follow directions exactly. Do it in a high humidity place, bathroom with door closed and turn on shower periodically.

    EC121, thanks, i'll consider that. Jim Wag, Laurel Mtn Forge barrel brown followed directions exactly. DId it in the bathroom, turned shower on a few times. Kept humidity pretty high
