    What would you choose?

12GA SXS and .36 pocket pistol. Don't really see the need for a pistol but it's what I've got.

    Woods walks

I remember that bear; one of the best woods walks ever! Somewhere out by the Delaware Water Gap, I think.

    Help ID please

Looks like faux damascus finish common on late 19th, early 20th century Belgian shotguns. I had a similar .410 double.

    Flintlock ID

Can anyone help identify the maker of this flintlock? It has the letters "RTG" and a bird (or maybe a leaf) logo. Thanks.

Gaaah! Help! Can't get stuck ball out

What a great virtual world. It's been years since I've seen this many guys gathered around a stuck ball trying to help.

    Un-patched balls ruin your barrel.

Not in the first 4,000 rounds, as far as I can tell, in a smoothbore anyway.

    Front lock bolt blocking ramrod

I had a partial blockage. I was able to taper the ramrod and file a notch in the screw to allow the ramrod to pass.

FOR SALE CVA 1862 Police revolver

This is a brass framed open top copy of Colt's 1862 Police Pocketmodel with a 5 shot fluted cylinder ; it's graceful, light and compact (by 19th century standards) but still a handful. I generally shoot a .375 ball over 15-20 grains of powder in this one. I have a .375 brass mold to go with it...

    Kentucky Pistol prominence/usage

    More likely a smoothbore.
